Who We Work With

We work with Professionals in the Mutual Insurance and Self-Insured Industry who are devoted to making the SYSTEM work better, faster, and without unnecessary overhead and transaction costs. We look at how organizations in the SYSTEM collaborate & integrate, how well its individual functions perform, and how it produces results in terms of risk reduction and profitability.

Why do we exist in the first place?

  • First, trust in the profession is horrible.
    The Gallup Poll (Dec 2016) rates trust in insurance professionals at the bottom of all professions, right along with telemarketers and used car salesmen.
     
  • Second, the insurance industry is misaligned.
    Customers are at odds with Agents. Agents are at odds with Insurance companies. Insurers are at odds with ReInsurers. In other words the “SYSTEM” is just not working. This means there is tremendous waste and non-value added work, which means profits and returns are not maximized, while delivery of value in the value chain is constrained.
     
  • Third, everyone is in it for themselves
    As a result of lack of trust and misalignment of missions, each of the stakeholders struggles to get what it wants, fighting over control  -- a classic struggle for power. In reality, insurance is trapped in a lose, lose, lose game between customers, agents, and insurers

These conditions have made the industry transactional at best, and adversarial at worst. We know that complex systems must be collaborative to produce efficiently and maximize value creation.

Many of the good people who used to love this industry have left. Service to the “good” customers (those who are honorable and take precautions to avoid risk) are treated just like the “bad” customers.. An Insurance SYSTEM is good only if it produces value for each of its primary stakeholders:
